Motocross boots are the second
most important protection gear
you can buy (helmet
is the first one, of course) and as most dirt riders
around the world already know, boots can do a lot to
save your feet, ankles and related organs from
injuries.
When you buy
Motocross boots There are many
Motocross and enduro boots brands on the market and
it is highly important that you choose the right
Motocross boot for you. When buying boots you should consider the
use you are planning for them. Usually it's a
trade off: the more comfortable your Motocross boots are the
less protection they provide to your poor legs :)
| When you try on a new pair of
Motocross boots (it's
quite the same for Enduro boots - but just a
little less) you usually find they are very
stiff and uncomfortable. There are some
exceptions for this rule like the Alpinestars
tech10 but in general Motocross boots and Enduro
boots are very stiff at the beginning. |

Boots get softer in a short period of time! If
you take the softest (and probably the most
comfortable) pair of Enduro boots on the shop,
in a week or two they might become a little
mushy and not protect your legs properly.

On the other hand,
the stiffest and most protective boots on the store
will not be the best choice if you want something to
put on when going out for a short easy ride. "Why?" you ask;
For the same reason you don't put an ambulance on
standby. It just seems too much bother wearing
these heavy uncomfortable and expensive boots
considering the fact you are riding on 25 Mph. No
doubt your legs will be fully protected but it is
very likely the firs time will be the last time you
will wear these boots. If this is the case, you will
probably prefer something more comfortable and
light.
Things to check when buying
Motocross boots: The
shoe sole is the most problematic boot part. It
wares out very quickly if you stand on the footpags.
It is highly recommended to choose a boot with a
replaceable shoe sole. Make sure you can tighten
boot well on your feet. Ask your dealer for spare
parts availability and prices.
