Comfort: the VX 3 is a comfortable motocross helmet
just as its predecessors. Helmet sit tight on your skull, not moving an inch but
still, very comfortable and natural. Cheek pads fit perfectly and adjust
themselves to your bones structure.
Ventilation:
this issue is well taken care of in the new XV version:
adjustable forced-air intakes, control ventilation
system (delta duct toggle) quick open/close control of forward intake, rear
exhaust scoops and improved chinbar side exhaust vents are responsible for
taking moisture away and bring in fresh and clean air.
Cleaning & handling: Fully removable/replaceable
Dry-CoolŪ liner promotes and cheekpads for easy cleaning. Attach and detach is
easy and quick. Arai claims cheekpads quick remove feature also increase helmets
safety as it allow easier access to an injured rider: cheekpads slide out easily
via the integrated pull-tabs built into the underside of the cheekpad.
Interior fabric washable and is easily cleaned.
Looks: the VX is maybe not the best looking helmet
when it comes on solid colors but there are some great coloring schemas the
Narita atomic (silver, blue, red, Orange, yellow), Windham3,
Barbed Wire and other. Some of the schemas can be
found in the bottom of this page.
Summary: Arai VX Pro 3 claims to be the best motocross
and enduro helmet in the market: best protection, weight, comfort and looks.
Priced around 480$ for the cheapest solid version and up to 560$ for the great
coloring schemas, the XV is a very expensive helmet. In this case the price is
for a good reason: quality costs and top quality has it price...
